Italian vacation - Otranto in Puglia with cristal waters

About Salento

We offer a fantastic opportunity to learn to cook the Italian way, by a Salento chef. Arguably, the best cows mozzarella cheese in the whole of the country, is made here. The area is called the garden of Italy. It’s a little known fact that the well-heeled Italians, vacate to the south for their annual summer holiday. Many of them also own second homes there. They know where to go for some of the best  culture, restaurants and locations that tranquil Italian life can offer.

Our mission is to share our love of Salento and our passion for food. We will show you how the southerners live and eat. We want to put Salento on the map and you could be one of the first to experience this new Cooking Holiday in Italy destination.

The hidden treasures of Apuglia, will delight. From one of the oldest Byzantine European churches in Casarano to the Baroque architecture of Lecce. A real treat is Santa Maria Di Leuca, a beautiful seaside resort and harbour. Santa Maria Di Leuca, gently rises into the hillside to give amazing views. This town is the most southerly point in Italy and is where the Adriatic and Ionian Seas meet. Overlooking the stunning bay area, is the important historical and religious Santa Maria Basilica. Pope Benedict XVI celebrated mass here in 2008.

Learning to prepare and cook regional food from an expert, combined with excursions and white sandy beaches, Cooking Holiday in Italy is the perfect choice for your next adventure. We pretty much guarantee that you will love the seven days of difference so much, that you will think seriously about coming back for more.

An article in The Guardian, says:

Unspoilt Italy: fall head over heel for Puglia’s Salento region

Wild beaches, seriously tempting food and wine, affordable prices – and few tourists – await those who venture to Salento, the sun-kissed south of Puglia at the heel of Italy’s boot.

For the Italians, Puglia is like Cornwall. They come here for sun, sea and seriously good food; fished from nearby waters and produced in the fertile pastures that supply much of the fresh contents of the country’s larders. Also for the increasingly admired local wines, Negroamaro, Primitivo di Manduria and Salice Salentino.

Your  vacation will immerse you into the culture, fun and delights of real Italian life.
